That gets me brownie points, right?
Last weekend Julie-Mom took we girls out for lunch at Cafe Rio (mmm, sweet pork) and pedis to celebrate Jess's birthday.

And then for pedicures which I'm not a huge fan of, but I'm all for sister time.
Actually, Kristin isn't all for them either, but we talked her into it :).
I'm pretty sure Julie-Mom enjoyed that massage chair way more than she should have.

I don't usually go for "girls night" (though this was in the middle of the afternoon). I'd rather do group dates or double dates. I'd rather have my man there, but I had fun. We've never done an outing with all of us there and it felt like... I had sisters.
Growing up with one brother you don't understand the sister thing very well. So now, with step sisters and sisters-in-law, it's fun to build those sister relationships.
I'm going to spoil the living day lights out of Kristin's baby. Because she's my sister, and I can :).

Jessica and Julie-Mom |
Would you believe that when I first met my sister, Jessica, that we did not get along? Which is super silly because she's amazing. She's the sister who is going to have your back. She's the sister that when you say:
"I need your help. I can't tell you what it is, you can never ask me about it later, and we're going to hurt some people."
She says:
"Who's car are we going to take?"
{Bonus points if you know what movie that's from. Answer: here.}
She loves unconditionally.
She's tough.
She's driven.
And she's there for me.
Happy birthday Sis.
And much love.
Always.
