1st Day of School: 2017/2018

Casidee is a senior this year.  She's working two jobs and trying to figure out her next steps with college.

Here are her 1st day of school pictures from pre-school and kindergarten.  Look how much they grow.

Jayme is a junior.  She's going to CTEC this year to work on animation.

Brynn is a sophomore this year.  She's on the JV cheer squad at the high school.

Sean is a freshman.  He's all about video games.

Tayler is a freshman.  She decided not to go for the high school soccer team, but is still playing on an outside team.

Cali is in 7th grade.  She's picking up a tumbling class this year.

Brynn's Cheerleading

Brynn made the JV Cheer team her this year, as a sophomore.

She's not sure if it's something she's going to do again, but she's glad for the experience.

At the mother dinner:

Brynn's first football game was rainy, but my friend Jen Schofield let me sit under her umbrella with her... even though I was only there for the cheerleaders.

When I went to the high school to video Brynn's opening assembly during the first week of school (video above), Tayler did not hesitate to sit with me.  I love that my girls still enjoy having me around, even in the high school setting in front of the friends.  I love my bond with them.

Cas Is A Subway Girl. Brynn Is Taking On The Open Road.

This week has had few firsts in it.

Casidee got her first job working at Subway.

Which is pretty apropos since she's always asking to go eat there.  Now she gets a sandwich at the end of every shift.

Plus, she brings home day old cookies for us and that's pretty amazing.  Hello raspberry cheesecake cookies.

Brynn got her learner's permit this week.

So now that Casidee and Jayme are getting to the point where they don't make me carsick anymore, we can start over with Brynn.

We're half way through.  I still believe the stress of teaching teenagers to drive will give me a stroke by the time we've made it through all six of them.

Everyone talks about potty training, but no one ever mentions teaching them to drive.

This is off the walls stressful.

Although, so was potty training my girls...
