Generally when we get invited to an after hours, private event at Cowabunga Bay, the weather tends to be overcast and windy and we don't get into the water very much. Anyone who's ever been to Cowabunga Bay knows that the water is very cold, and the only time I find myself wanting to submit to it is if it's a very hot day.
Every summer our orthodontist, Watson Orthodontics, holds an appreciation event for his patients and their families at Cowabunga Bay. Last night we went with tentative feelings due to our last three or four experiences with cold weather.
Luckily (?) for us, Utah has been in dry streak of 100* F weather.
And the water was perfect for such heat.
If you need an orthodonitst, we highly recommend Watson Orthodontics. (This is not a paid post, we just really like him).
Yesterday The Man sprained is ankle and wasn't up for a lot of walking around at the water park, so we found a nice shady spot to take the ebb off the heat, and sat and watched the kids swim around the lazy pool.
As life goes, I've picked up on the trending Pokemon Go from the kids.
And I like it.
Not so much that I need to battle Pokemons, because, what is that all about anyway? I have no idea. But what calls to my addictive soul is the ability to collect them all. I just want to fill in all those numbered slots with the different Pokemon pictures and know that I got every single one.
So it's on.
And they were all over Cowabunga Bay, while I sat in the shade with The Man, and the kids swam in circles.
Also?
This morning in my car Pikachu himself made an appearance in front of my house. And I caught him. Only to have him escape, but I had run out of pokeballs from catching him the first time so I couldn't do it again.
That, my friends, is no way to start a morning.

The Best Orthodontist Ever.
We have the best orthodontist.
And we had better feel that way since as of right now we can say that 5 of our 6 kids will for sure be spending abundantmoney time with him.
He better be the best.
He is.
On top of how good he is with their teeth (or lack there of in the case of a few of them who decided to not grow a few of their adult teeth at all), and the fun games and prize opportunities he has within his office, every summer our orthodontist hosts a Cowabunga Bay evening for all of his patients and their families.
We get the whole place to ourselves, there are more prizes, and the "extra rides" or open and running free. Or at least free to us.
Above: Brynn with Sean and Casidee with Jayme.
Above: Tayler doing her backflips
Above: Cali pulled off double back flips.
The night was actually a bit stormy. The sky was overcast and the wind picked up which chilled us to the bone. We spent a lot of time drowning each other in the lazy river because the water was warmer there. But there's no doubt about it, we have a cool orthodontist.
If you're looking for an orthodontist you should check him out HERE and HERE.
And if you go to him, make sure and tell him that Casidee and Jayme sent you.

Summer So Far
So far summer has looked a little bit like this for us:
The Drive-in, Monsters University and Man of Steel.
Which also meant over priced movie nachos which are the best thing ever.
And cheap dollar store glow sticks which are not the best thing ever because we always have an issue with them breaking on us when we crack them to start glowing.
Though the splatter that happened when Cali cracked hers was pretty impressive.
The waterpark. Or Cowabunga Bay with Granny Suzann to be exact.
We've been avoiding that place forever because we heard that the water was just so cold. Come to find out that we've been missing out on a whole lot of fun. I kind of love that place now.
A great big, huge thank you to Granny Suzann for that perfect day at Cowabunga Bay!
And Brynn's friend from Vernal came and hung out with us for five days. But eventually we had to give her back to her mom agian.
Also, Cali decided she was going to do a back flip into the pool.
And then she actually did it.
Brynn decided she wanted to try a flip too.
