Christmas Choir Concert

A reminder that if you haven't entered the double book give away you should go do it now here.

The Navi is in the shop.

Again.

And The Man says, "I sure wish we still had that extra car."

And I don't say anything out loud, but I'm thinking, don't talk to me about this.  (Read this post).

So this morning I left the house while it was still dark to take him to work so I can continue to use the monster truck.

Watch out itty bitty cars.

Here's how my day has gone so far:

5:30-annoying and loud alarm yanks me from sleep (I'm never good with this part)
5:33-it registers in my brain that if I actually want a shower before I take The Man to work, I better get up
6:20-The Man is commenting on the fact that he's never seen me shower so quickly before.  I'm showered, dressed, and my hair is dry.  The Man also tells me he has errands to run before work.  My plan for the day has just been compounded.
7:04-still haven't gotten The Man to work yet.  I'm standing in the nail warehouse and trying to call home to wake kids up.  After two calls and having the fax answer (grrrr! Who turned that on?) Cas finally calls me back.  Wake up your sisters please, start getting ready.  I'll be home soon.
7:47-I've dropped The Man off and am on my way home when I get a phone call from Tayler, in tears.  No one woke her up and they need to leave soon.  My response is to stop wasting time crying to me on the phone and hustle to get ready.
8:05-I walk in the door.  Tayler is on track for leaving.  Cali is in the tub.  The kids need to leave in ten minutes, as do I in order to get Cas to her orthodontist apptointment and I don't have my hair done or my make up on.  I spent the next few minutes rushing Cali through the process of getting out of the tub and getting dressed.  I yank a brush through her hair as she puts on her shoes.  If I leave her to do any of this on her own, she'll drag her feet and I'll get stressed out phone calls from Brynn telling me that Cali is still standing in her room in a towel and it's time to leave. Now Cali is dressed, with shoes on, and her hair is brushed.  She has 10 minutes to eat breakfast.
8:39-somehow Casidee and I miraculously make it to her orthodontist appointment with a minute to spare, though I haven't yet done my hair or make up.  At least my hair is blow-dried.  The beautiful mother sitting with her daughter next to me makes me scowl at myself.
9:03-Cas and I make it home.  I ask her to throw dinner in the crockpot (hand her the recipe) and run upstairs to finally finish getting ready for the day.
9:25-I take Cas to school and head to work.
9:42-I make it to work and turn my computer on.  I shuffle papers around the office.
10:11-I get a text from The Man.  Sean's sick.  Can you go get him?  My boss (who is awesome) laughs.  I put in a whole half hour at work today.  By the time it would take me to go home and check Sean and out, and turn around and go back to work, it would be time for me to leave and get Tayler for her dentist appointment.  So after only a half hour of work, my boss agrees that I'm done for the day.

It's now 11:15 and I think in can finally find a second to actually eat something.

Which I better do because this afternoon won't be any better.  Tayler has a dentist appointment, Brynn has a doctor's appointment, and I still need to pick The Man up from work.

But at least dinner is in the crockpot.

Last night I went to the choir concert for Brynn, Sean, and Tayler.

.Cali was my videographer.

I'd send her down the main aisle to sit on the floor in front and video the three on the song they said was their favorite.

Sean's:
(He's on the front row.  The lighting was terrible and left the front row in a shadow)
(You can hear Cali's addition *ding dong* she can't wait to be in choir next year and it took all she had not to sing along while doing the videos)

Brynn's:
(in contrast to Sean being in shadow, Brynn had so much light on her she's all whited out)
(she's on the top row)

Tayler's:

I loved it.  These kids worked so hard getting up early and going to practice.

Whose kid is that anyway?

(He takes after his dad)

Will someone else please tell Brynn that a t-shirt doesn't count as dressing up?

I'm just the mom after all.

You did a great job guys.

I'm super proud of the effort and commitment that you put into this.
