We have issues with socks.
Aside from the fact that matches go missing, because that's nothing unusual.
I think our socks like to jump. And then the dogs like to eat them, which doesn't help in our "socks without matches" situation. It seems that no matter who has laundry on a given day, there is always a sock left on the laundry room floor.
West was complaining about this one day. Not five minutes later I walked into the laundry to find... oh yes, and it was even his.
Poetic justice.
Or irony. Either way we got a good laugh.
If it's a kid sock we start calling out for the kids. "Who had laundry?" "Who's sock is about to be eaten by the dogs?" And of course no one ever claims it willingly. Who needs socks? Except for when Mom calls you out on wearing shoes without any. And then, of course, you don't have a single pair to your name. Our tick marks come in handy in this situation, but my favorite is Sean.
"Sean, go pick up your sock in the laundry room please."
"It's not mine."
"It is yours. Please go get it."
"It's not mine."
This is where I get to prove that Mom always knows.
"It's a boy sock. You are the only boy in this house. Go pick up your sock please."
Who can argue with that kind of logic?
Over the weekend we worked on our house. No surprise there since it has very literally been consuming our lives (here, here, here, and here). But progress is being made!
Cali broke the tub in last night with the first official bubble bath. Our bathroom is officially partly available for use.
Okay, only the tub is in use. There's still no toilet or counter tops or sinks or mirrors...
But dang it, we have a jetted tub and the tile is done.
What more can you ask for?
While trying to track down sinks for the bathroom we saw these tiny things in a plumbing showroom.
Yes they're real. And the only thing that came to my mind when I saw them was why?
